Integrated waste management

Around 14 tons of recoverable waste generated by our tenants are managed safely and responsibly per month.

In addition, we collect organic waste from our tenants and it is transformed into fertilizer, for which we have the support of our ally Abonos Vivos S.A.

Mobility

Sustainable mobility is promoted in the communities of influence, through participation in the creation of the masterplan of Naturbanas Escazú Routes, the implementation of charging stations for electric cars and the execution of studies and permits to link the internal bike path of Escazú Avenue with projects such as Tempo and Escazú Village, giving bicycle users greater ease and safety.

Photovoltaic energy

There are 1,497 solar panels installed throughout the project, which covers approximately 40% of the total monthly energy consumption.

Biological Connectivity

We work on reforestation with native species, which helps to reduce the heat island and create habitat for flora and fauna species

Organic garden

500 m² have been allocated for the harvest of fresh and organic products. Promoting good practices such as: a zero-emission agriculture, the non-use of fertilizers and the restoration of degraded soils

Community relations

Projects are being worked on in collaboration with nearby communities, for example, in 2023 we will implement the Community Cafe, an open space to contribute to improving sustainable human development in the canton of Escazú.

Additionally, within our sustainability strategy, we carry out Avenida Viva Talks, free spaces with discussion and educational topics, for our internal and external audiences. For example, the workshops on the future of cities, women and the city, and mental health, among others. As well as free experiences for our audiences of interest, such as the celebration of Senior Citizens' Day.

Eco-nstruction

Avenida Médica, of Avenida Escazú, is the first building in Costa Rica to implement the installation of prefabricated facades, which provide benefits such as a decrease in construction time; waste reduction; energy savings; thermal efficiency; energy efficiency during operation; and the reduction of the carbon footprint.
